COACH DAVID HENRY

DAVID HENRY

Coach David Henry and his family relocated to the DFW area three years ago and is currently the Head Women's Basketball Coach, and Men's Assistant Varsity and JV coach at Prince of Peace Christian School. He also is a Certified Trainer, USA Gold Certified Coach, and a former collegiate athlete who now dedicates his life to helping young people achieve their dreams.

God has blessed David with talents that have led him to be successful in college (Northern Virginia Community College 1987-1989), but now he shares those talents with other people who enjoy the sport as much as he does. David loves the game of basketball and he wants to pass on knowledge of the game to whoever is interested in learning. Henry's passion for coaching comes from a desire to help others, he wants to share his blessings with people who want them. After getting a feel for the DFW area, Henry has decided to reestablish his self back into Grassroots Basketball with The DC Queens Organization.

Henry is a dedicated and enthusiastic professional with more than 35 years of experience coaching, and directing numerous successful basketball programs in D.C, Maryland, Virginia (DMV), and Texas. Henry believes that a culture of hard work, resilience, consistency, and a tradition of commitment should be at the core of every athlete’s character. The ultimate goal is to help players garner scholarships to pursue their academic and athletic dreams.

Through Henrys years of coaching he has helped players to 13 AAU National Championships, and over 200 athletes have gained scholarships. 7 players have gone on to play professionally and countless others have gone on to become very successful adults.
